Research:
Dr. Jenks is interested in parallel and distributed computing, particularly large-scale distributed memory systems, thread migration to exploit locality, and real-time distributed systems.
Dr. Jenks previously developed compilation techniques to support thread migration for array locality exploitation. His current research in the area involves investigating the applicability of thread migration to diverse physical and biological problem domains and developing migration approaches for modern, object-oriented languages. Dr. Jenks' prior work on distributed avionics architectures has also led to his interest in real-time distributed system software and middleware.
