Graduate Programs
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers M.S. and the Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in one of four areas:
Environmental Processes*
Hydrology and Water Resources*
Structural Engineering
Transportation Systems Engineering
*These Departmental programs are separate from the inter-disciplinary program in environmental engineering that is offered by The Henry Samueli School of Engineering and requires courses from several engineering departments. Please review both programs to determine which one is more relevant to your area of interest.
The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department also offers a concurrent degree program with the Department of Planning, Policy, and Design that awards both a Masters of Science in civil engineering and a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning in either the transportation or environmental focus areas. Visit the MSCE and MURP degree page for more information.
