Research:
Hui's lab is developing tools to study microscale biological phenomena. Specifically, they wish to examine how spatial organization and changes in organization in multicellular constructs influence intercellular communication and emergent tissue function. They are also interested in global health diagnostics. To accomplish these goals, the lab is pursuing technologies such as 3D tissue patterning, microfabricated mechanisms for cellular manipulation, and microfluidic computation.
