Orange County 2005 Report Card Information

The purpose of the UCI Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Affiliates is to provide an effective means to offer support and guidance to the Department, its programs and students, and to act as an interface between the professional civil and environmental engineering community in Southern California, particularly in Orange County, and the University.  The CEE Affiliates include senior executives representing leading civil and environmental engineering firms (both large and small) and public agencies, as well as individual members.

Staff

The Office of Development and External Relations (DER) is responsible for advancing the mission of The Henry Samueli School of Engineering by initiating and forging partnerships with industry, alumni and friends, foundations and governmental agencies. The DER team drives the school's externally-oriented activities, including corporate programs, alumni relations, scholarship and fellowship programs, media relations, publications and special events.

Technology Transfer

The office of Development and External Relations (DER) serves as a liaison between industry, faculty and student researchers, the UCI Office of Technology Alliances, Sponsored Projects Administration, and other UCI offices to help maximize the timeliness and clarity of communication of intellectual property issues.

Engineering Advisory Board

Engineering Advisory Board - UC Irvine

The primary mission of the Engineering Advisory Board is to assist The Henry Samueli School of Engineering in developing strategic relationships with the engineering and business community, within Orange County and nationwide, which will garner the support necessary to ensure the school can reach its academic goals into the foreseeable future. A secondary mission of the board is to provide meaningful feedback to the dean and the faculty of the school regarding academic and research goals.

Membership

It is our belief that engineering touches almost every sector of Orange County's economy, and of the nation. Therefore, the Engineering Advisory Board members include experienced professionals in traditional fields of engineering; engineers and managers of high technology companies; venture capitalists; and other prominent members of the Orange County business community. Membership on the Engineering Advisory Board is by invitation, and is open to Engineering Corporate Affiliates, members of the industrial community, and alumni of the School.
