The ASME K-11 Committee on Fire and Combustion, in collaboration with the ASME Fuels and Combustion Technology Division (FACT) and the ASME K-19 Committee on Environmental Heat Transfer, is organizing five stand-up sessions and one open forum for the Symposium on Fire and Combustion Systems. The objective of this Symposium is to provide a forum for the interaction between researchers in heat transfer, combustion, and fuels technology.
Experimental and theoretical studies
on both fundamentals and applications are welcome. Manuscripts related
to studies on "Emerging Technologies" are particularly encouraged.
Examples of some topics of interest are:
Presentations of all papers will be in the traditional lecture format. Authors whose papers are judged to be of permanent interest will be encouraged to submit their work to the editor of the ASME Journal of Heat Transfer for further review.
Please send three (3) copies of the abstract to G.P. Peterson, and indicate that the paper is to be considered for this Symposium. Also, send one (1) copy to M.P. Menguc:
