The Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of California - Irvine invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar in the Gorodetsky Group. We are seeking an organic/polymer/natural products chemist to synthesize building blocks for conjugated polymers. Expertise in electrochemistry, atomic force microscopy, and thin film fabrication is a plus. Our group is very multi-disciplinary, and this project would represent an exciting opportunity for a synthetic chemist to enrich their materials engineering skill set. The tentative start date is June 1, 2012.
