Yi Jiang Receives Presentation Award at the 2004 Gordon Research Conference

Dr. Yi Jiang, a postgraduate researcher in the Biomedical Engineering department, recently received the "Outstanding Poster Presentation Award" at the 2004 Gordon Research Conference on Lasers in Medicine and Biology. More than 150 researchers from the United States and Europe attended this biannual topical meeting.

The wining poster, entitled "High-Resolution Second Harmonic Optical Coherence Tomography," was chosen from among more than 60 entries and was evaluated by the conference chairs based upon clarity of presentation and potential impact in the field of biomedical imaging and biophotonics.

Dr. Jiang is a senior postdoctoral fellow in Professor Zhongping Chen's OCT Laboratory. The OCT lab focuses on biophotonics and biomedical imaging research.
