Aug 27, 2003 Materials Science Researchers, Students Take Honors at Conference Researchers and students affiliated with the Materials Science Characterization Center (MC2), housed in The Henry Samueli School of Engineering, won three awards at the annual meeting of the Microscopy Society of America, held in San Antonio this month. Wen-An Chiou, director of MC2, along with Reginald Penner and Qiguang Li, both from the UCI Department of Chemistry, won the Traveling Poster Exhibit Award for "Electron Microscopy Study of Molybdenum Disulfide Nanowires." Their poster was one of only five selected out of 200 submitted in the "physical" category. |
