Incoming Graduate Student Information

Congratulations on your admission to The Henry Samueli School of Engineering! All newly admitted students will receive a packet along with their admission letter. It will contain information on housing, insurance, orientation, statement of legal residence filing, and other information. In order to confirm your plans to attend UC Irvine, you must fill out a Statement of Intent to Register. This process is managed online.

Statement of Intent to Register directions: After you are admitted, an automated email message is sent congratulating you on your admission, and will instruct you to log in to the SIR (statement of intent to register) website. The site is password protected, and you will receive a log-in name and password in the email message. After deciding whether to accept or decline the offer, you will log-in to the SIR system, and indicate whether you accept the offer, and submit the SIR electronically. After submitting the SIR, UC Irvine's admission database is updated automatically to reflect the positive or negative SIR.
