As a Communication Strategist and Speechwriter, Barbara Seymour Giordano has advised Fortune 500 executives, doctors, scientists, academics, entrepreneurs and TED presenters on the art of creating global talks that unite, influence and inspire audiences worldwide. Behind the scenes, Giordano has worked as an assignment editor with CNN and E! Entertainment Television as well as produced internal videos, global sales meetings and events for Amgen, Cisco Systems and Nike to name a few. In front of the lens Giordano has been an on-camera national TV fashion and beauty spokesperson for Lands’ End, Neiman Marcus and TJX Corp. With an uncanny knack for turning highly complex subjects into stories that spark imagination across cultures, Giordano helps her presenters get to the WHY of the story – the meaningful gift that inspires audiences to action.

The Entrepreneurship Seminar Series provides a real-world introduction to the theory and practice of entrepreneurship. Through a series of presentations by prestigious entrepreneurs and industry leaders, participants will explore the various organizational, strategic and financial challenges facing successful and unsuccessful entrepreneurs. Topics include start-up strategies, business idea evaluation, business plan writing, and introduction to venture capital. Free and open to the public.
